The wealthy merchants known as 'Hamadan', who made their fortune from salt, served elaborate dishes as part of their hospitality. The Nipponia Hotel Takehara Saltworks Town embodies the spirit of such hospitality. Once a venue for weddings and other celebrations, it has once again become a stage for weddings. The second floor retains design elements from the Taisho era, including glass, transoms, and alcoves.

and a ceremony at a shrine that has been loved in Takehara for many years.

01. Public ceremony
A ceremony in front of witnesses where the couple makes their vows. The marriage is established with applause from the guests, creating a homey and heartwarming atmosphere. There are no strict traditions, allowing for a high degree of freedom, and the order of the ceremony can be decided in consultation with the planner. You can add original performances or customize the ceremony to align with the couple's wishes.
02. Wedding ceremony in the banquet hall
While cherishing the traditional Japanese atmosphere of elements like the 'en no chigiri' (a vow of connection) and 'san-san-kudo' (a ceremonial sake sharing), it is also possible to create an original Japanese wedding ceremony that weaves in the couple's unique characteristics. One of the appealing points of an in-venue ceremony is that it allows for a smooth transition into the party, preserving the warm atmosphere right after the ceremony.

We are creating a space that cherishes the beauty and history of the building, using the local specialty bamboo, and expressing the white of salt and sake brewing, as well as the blue of the rich Seto Inland Sea, allowing one to feel the local climate of Takehara.
Stay-type wedding
Nipponia Hotel Takehara Saltworks Town is a dispersed hotel consisting of four buildings: the former Morikawa family residence, which serves as the front desk and club lounge; the HOTEI building for dining; and the MOSO and KIKKO buildings for accommodation. You can enjoy a special stay as if you were living in the town of Takehara, which has a designated preservation district.
