A New Zealand groom and a Japanese bride. The couple, who wished to have their wedding in the bride's hometown of Sasayama, were very fond of NIPPONIA, which retains the rich culture of old Japan, and entrusted their important day to NIPPONIA, leading to the start of their meetings with us. Not only for the wedding itself, but also with the hope that their guests coming from New Zealand would enjoy the Japanese buildings and the streets of Sasayama, they entrusted the accommodation of their guests to our traditional inn, NIPPONIA, reserving the entire Kominka Onai building. They proceeded with preparations to create a wonderful wedding that fuses the cultures of both countries.
A time of happiness enveloped by the warm blessings of the entire town.
The beginning of the day was at the Shisoyama Castle Great Hall. The first meeting of the groom, dressed in a traditional formal kimono, and the bride, wearing a white wedding kimono, took place amidst full-bloom cherry blossoms, creating a romantic moment as if they were in a world of their own. After the couple's commemorative photo shoot, the groom donned a Scottish traditional outfit, which is part of his family's roots, and enjoyed a powerful group photo session in front of the Great Hall. The beautiful scene of the bride in a white kimono and the groom in a traditional outfit from another culture moved the entire town, and voices of "Congratulations!" echoed throughout the streets.
Receiving warm blessings, the couple moved to NIPPONIA, where the ceremony began inside the venue. To ensure that all guests, regardless of their country of origin, could enjoy the ceremony, the proceedings included universally understood elements such as the "ring exchange" and "vows," resulting in a wonderful ceremony filled with the couple's thoughtfulness towards their guests.
A party filled with a sense of unity, where guests can also interact with each other.
The two hosts had an interpreter with them throughout the party, making efforts to ensure that their guests could communicate with each other despite the language differences. To help the guests learn about the two who were born and raised in different countries, they incorporated many speeches from the guests into the proceedings, and after the ceremony, the guests offered warm cheers to the groom who is moving to Japan, creating a very harmonious party filled with everyone's kindness.
Furthermore, in the latter half of the party, to allow guests to interact directly, the guests were divided into two groups, lined up, and played a game where they relayed sushi figures to the next guest using chopsticks, which was a huge hit!

Very satisfied with the favorite tiramisu cake!
The dishes we provide have been prepared with consideration to suit the tastes of our guests coming from New Zealand. One of the highlights is the tiramisu cake, which is familiar to our guests from New Zealand! It seems that tiramisu was particularly the groom's favorite, and he had been looking forward to it since our meetings. As a surprise from the bride to the groom, a cake featuring a figurine of the groom's favorite character was presented, and the moment it appeared, the groom's face lit up even more. "This is the best tiramisu I've ever had in Japan!" he exclaimed, and both the bride and the staff were thrilled with his satisfied response.
