"Maru Ju Pharmacy," with a history of about 100 years, once supported the health of the people and was bustling with activity. The main house, annex, and heavy earthen storehouse of this medicinal merchant have been renovated into a cozy lodging space. The magnificent beams and classical designs quietly tell the story of the prosperity of Chichibu during the Meiji and Taisho periods.

This is a guest room on the first floor that makes use of a space that was previously used as a detached area for "Maruju Pharmacy." Located in a secluded spot a little distance from the main building, it offers a deep sense of privacy, making it difficult to feel the presence of other guest rooms. The calm decor, reminiscent of traditional Kyo-kabe style, has a warmth that relaxes the heart, appealing to all generations. Beyond the window lies a beautifully maintained garden, where you can leisurely enjoy the changing colors of seasonal flowers while spending quiet time undisturbed.

The heavy storehouse built on the premises has been transformed into a luxurious maisonette-style guest room. Upon entering the first floor, the high vaulted ceiling and the dynamic beams that have supported the storehouse for many years create an overwhelming presence. On the second floor, which retains the charm of the original staircase, you will find a living room and bedroom. You can immerse yourself in the comforting embrace unique to the storehouse while overlooking the garden below. This room also features the most spacious hinoki bath in our hotel, allowing you to fully enjoy the warmth of the famous hot spring.

This is the most spacious and prestigious room in our hotel, located on the second floor of the 'Maruju Pharmacy' building. Above the generous living and bedroom areas, the strong ceilings and beams remain as they were, evoking the rich history that this building has accumulated. From the bedroom window, you can enjoy the charming old streets of Chichibu, while the living room offers a panoramic view of the majestic mountains of Oku-Chichibu, including Mount Ryokami.
