Existing castle tower - Marugame Castle
Standing on Japan's highest stone walls
A heavenly retreat
Marugame Castle, which boasts the tallest stone walls in Japan, is home to the historically significant building 'Enjyukaku Bekkan Kazeno Heritage', relocated from the Edo residence of the former Marugame feudal lord, the Kyogoku family, located in the San-no-Maru area.
The space, imbued with the dignified atmosphere of the lord's residence, has been reborn as a private space available for exclusive rental, infused with the breath of modern luxury, ready to welcome special guests once again. It is a luxurious environment that allows you to deeply immerse yourself in the very history of Marugame, going beyond mere accommodation. Once you step inside, the rich scent of heavy wood and the elegant decor will invite you into an extraordinary realm, detached from the hustle and bustle.
About the villa"The Stone Castle" Marugame Castle. It monopolizes its tranquility.
Built on Kameyama, which stands at an elevation of about 66 meters, Marugame Castle is one of the most famous castles in Shikoku. This place, the only accommodation within the castle, grants guests the exclusive privilege to stroll through the quiet castle grounds after the general tourists have departed, and to gaze up at the beautifully illuminated main keep against the night sky.
"A moment to admire the stunning curves of Japan's highest stone wall, known as the 'slope of the fan,' from a prime seat. Please enjoy the overwhelming scenery that changes with time, such as the mystical castle enveloped in morning mist and the Seto Inland Sea dyed in the colors of the sunset."
From Azabu to Marugame.
A building that inherits the memories of the Kyogoku family.
In 1933, a guesthouse named 'Enjyukaku' was built in the San-no-Maru of Marugame Castle to welcome guests. The current 'Enjyukaku Bekkan' was created as a VIP room. During its renovation, part of the residence of the Kyogoku family, who once governed the Marugame domain, was transferred from their estate in Azabu, Tokyo, and relocated to this site. It has been carefully preserved for over 90 years.
