The Villa Nene-no-Michi Kazeno Heritage has a deep connection with a long-established copper processing company in Kyoto that has been in operation for about 250 years since the Edo period, and it has made 'copper' the overarching theme of the entire space. The texture of copper, which deepens with use, and the peacock blue reminiscent of the green patina that forms on copper are highlighted. Items such as copper tea canisters from Kaikado and the blue of Seiwa-yaki, along with the craftsmanship of Kyoto artisans, have been incorporated throughout the guest rooms.
