The first facility embodying the concept of the brand category "Kazeno" in the new hotel brand series "Kazeno Heritage," located in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture, "Kazeno Kurayoshi," will open on July 17, 2026 (Friday). In advance of the opening, accommodation reservations will begin on the official site starting March 19, 2026 (Thursday).
To commemorate the opening of our official Instagram account, we will invite 5 groups of 10 people to a free stay at Kazeno Kurayoshi for a Tottori Heritage Retreat, which includes a 2-day, 1-night stay with 2 meals, from among those who follow our account and like this campaign post. This summer, why not take a trip to Tottori for the first time?
Kurayoshi City in Tottori Prefecture is located about two hours from Tokyo and is easily accessible from tourist destinations that evoke the traditions and myths of Japan, such as Kyoto and Izumo. The townscape, which has been passed down through the ages, has been designated as an Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings, preserving a beautiful landscape of old merchant houses and white-walled storehouses built from the Edo to Taisho periods, along with red-tiled roofs.
Architectural beauty of cultural properties that have marked over a hundred years
The "Ogawa family," which conveys an elegant design as a designated cultural property of Tottori Prefecture, and the "Takata family," a Registered Tangible Cultural Property that vividly retains the spirit of a former merchant's lifestyle. These two former residences, rich in the culture of Kurayoshi, are being reborn into a facility with just 11 guest rooms.
In each guest room, which has its own unique charm, the scent of fine wood fills the air, and one can gaze at the designs that bear the marks of ancient artisans while surrendering to the breeze flowing through the tatami room. The stay itself, in contact with the lifestyle of the past, its aesthetic sensibilities, and the culture rooted in the land, opens the door to an extraordinary world.
A retreat journey that engages all five senses
As a retreat program that promotes 'dialogue with oneself' and 'rejuvenation of the mind and body,' we incorporate pleasant sensory experiences for sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste throughout. Not only in the guest rooms, but also during the stay, the entire central Tottori area, beyond just Kurayoshi, will gently open the five senses and serve as a stage for a retreat that 'plays with the heart.'
In the land of San'in, renowned as a place of mythology, Kurayoshi is particularly notable as it is embraced by two sacred mountains, Daisen and Mitokusan, making it a location where myths are continuous. At 'Kazeno Kurayoshi', we plan to offer four retreat stay programs designed to harmonize the mind and body over a 2-night, 3-day experience, blending the mystique and spirituality that thrive in this land with the blessings brought by nature (sales will begin soon).
1. Walking and meditation along abandoned railway tunnels
Oyama Pond Lakeside Branch
Walking through spaces where nature and culture have gradually merged, such as abandoned railway tracks swallowed by the forest and pitch-black tunnels, offers an extraordinary meditative experience that halts thought and deepens shallow breathing. Enjoying a brunch that blends with nature by the shores of Ooyama Pond lightens the body and mind. It is a three-day journey that guides you back to deep breathing and the five senses.
2. Experience folk crafts and

The folk art and crafts rooted in Kurayoshi are condensed with the artisans' dedication and the aesthetics of their lives.
