Love for the region and creating the city of the future
Special guidance by local guides
Mr. Hiroyuki Gamou, a local guide born in Hakodate and the representative of "Hakobaru Real Estate," which is actively involved in urban development through the renovation of historical buildings in the old town, will serve as the guide. Unlike typical sightseeing tours that merely visit famous landmarks, this tour deeply unravels the rich context and "stories of the town" behind the living buildings and people, providing a genuine perspective unique to the residents.

Having survived numerous great fires, it is a place where Japanese and Western styles intersect.
The history of beautiful buildings and slopes
Walk through the beautiful slopes from the red brick warehouse area, along the retro atmosphere of Takasago Street, and visit Hakodate Park, the birthplace of Hakodate. Since the land readjustment in the 13th year of the Meiji era, you can experience the dynamic history of Motoizaka and Hachiman-zaka, which were developed in a straight line from the mountains to the sea for evacuation and firebreak purposes, while enjoying the beautiful scenery created by the diverse blend of Western and Japanese architecture unique to a port town.
