After undergoing a large-scale renovation for the first time in 124 years, carried out with gratitude to Sugawara no Michizane and the inheritance of history, the main hall, an Important Cultural Property, has regained its original beauty and grandeur.
This activity is a special nighttime formal worship conducted in the shrine grounds after closing, which is not accessible to the general worshippers.
Under the guidance of the shrine priests, the heavy doors open, leading to the beautifully restored main shrine —.
In the silence that contrasts sharply with the daytime bustle, the sounds of purification prayers and bells resonate within the main shrine.
