A special tour that provides a rare opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes of the Kyushu National Museum, which is usually inaccessible, during the night after closing hours. Researchers will act as guides to introduce the behind-the-scenes of the museum.
Experiences include visiting the back of valuable exhibition rooms and riding a huge elevator used for transporting artworks. This tour allows you to experience part of the museum's work through observation. Participation with family is also recommended.

September 5, 2026 (Saturday) 'Night Museum Exploration Team'

The 'Night Museum Exploration Team' is a special backstage tour that is conducted only during the night openings of the museum when special exhibitions are held. Participants will not only walk behind the exhibition rooms but also have the opportunity to experience using a large elevator dedicated to cultural properties. This event introduces some aspects of the museum's work in 'displaying', 'transporting', and 'preserving' artifacts.
