Notice of the introduction of accommodation tax in Hakodate City.

Due to the enforcement of the Hakodate City Accommodation Tax Ordinance, an accommodation tax will be levied.
Please be aware that the following tax amount will be collected in addition to the accommodation fee you have reserved.

【Start Date】
Regardless of the reservation date, all stays after April 1, 2026, will be subject to tax.

【Target】
All guests staying, including children, are eligible.
However, children who sleep with parents and do not have meals are not included.

[Accommodation Tax Amount (per person per night)]
Less than 20,000 yen: 200 yen
20,000 yen or more and less than 50,000 yen: 400 yen
50,000 yen or more and less than 100,000 yen: 1,000 yen
100,000 yen or more: 2,500 yen

*The amount of the accommodation tax may change in the future due to amendments in laws and regulations.
