In 2026, a new hotel brand series 'Kazeno Heritage' will be launched, which aims to translate the intangible cultures that have been passed down in various regions of Japan into the modern era and connect them to the next generation.
We aim to go beyond the framework of "preserving historical buildings," which we have valued until now, and by allowing our guests to experience the 'wind' of the land—its landscapes, customs, atmosphere, flavors, and cultural poetry—we hope to create bonds between our customers and the community, and connect culture to the future.
In 2026, a new accommodation will open at two iconic stages.
As the beginning of a new brand series, two facilities will be established in 2026.
1. Hakodate City, Hokkaido | Old Soma Residence Kazeno Heritage (scheduled to open on March 1, 2026)
The Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property "The Old Soma Residence," which symbolizes the prosperity of Hakodate, is being revived as a luxurious accommodation limited to three groups per day. Please enjoy a special night as if you were staying in an art museum, in an overwhelming location overlooking the port.
