Iga pottery is characterized by its rugged clay texture and the natural scenery created by fire. Each piece has a different expression, enriching the impression of taste even with the same tea.
Additionally, Iga is a place where ninjas operated, and they incorporated tea as wisdom for maintaining their mind and body.
In this experience, while touching upon the history and stories of the land, you will be able to feel the depth of Japanese tea and Iga pottery in a quiet moment, not just by drinking.

Using a handleless teapot called 'hōbin', we enjoy two brews of green tea at different temperatures. Finally, we savor the fragrant roasted green tea brewed with a teapot that has a vine handle.

A Q&A session with ceramic artist Shinichi Kobuji. You can hear directly about pottery making and the new Iga-yaki 'IGA Blue'. There will also be an opportunity to observe the pottery-making process on the potter's wheel.
