We are pleased to announce that a new building, "NAIKI," which has revitalized a long-established fruit wholesaler founded in the Meiji era, has opened on April 29, 2026, at Nipponia Hotel Iga Ueno Castle Town.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the local community who have supported us until now, and to the customers who have been looking forward to this day.

About the NAIKI building

The newly opened building faces the Yamato Highway, which was once used by feudal lords from the Yamato region during their alternate attendance in the Edo period.
In the Meiji era, it was established around 1870 as "Tanaka Seika Wholesale" and has been renovated from a building that served as an office and workshop for a long-established wholesaler.

The building has been named 'NAIKI' after the weaving method 'naiki-gumi.' It features a row house section and a garden designed as a dog-friendly suite for spending time with beloved pets, and the storage area has been arranged for use as a sauna.

A private 'Warehouse Sauna' with a history spanning 110 years.

A former fruit wholesale warehouse with over 110 years of history has been transformed into a genuine sauna. Preserving its heavy and dignified atmosphere, it offers a completely private space enveloped in tranquility. Enjoy a luxurious experience with a fully reserved 90-minute time slot (by appointment). The sauna is well-equipped with a self-rolling set, sauna hats, mats, and other abundant sauna goods.

After the sauna, you can head to the open outdoor area overlooking the courtyard. You should be able to comfortably 'settle down' in the cold bath while feeling the breezes of the four seasons.

A dog-friendly suite with a private garden to spend time with your beloved dog.

While making use of the design of the historical building, we offer two private guest rooms equipped with exclusive gardens where you can comfortably spend time with your beloved dog. The guest room building is within walking distance to Iga Ueno Castle. It is an excellent location where you can leisurely walk with your dog while feeling the rich greenery and the breeze of history.

The room is equipped with a rich array of amenities selected from a dog owner's perspective, including cages, dishes, and cleaning supplies. From the guest room, which utilizes the warmth of natural materials, you can gaze upon a private garden. The space, adorned with Iga pottery and art, is designed with a focus on the "visual" aspect that helps restore both body and mind. The soft light filtering through the Naguri processed furniture and garden alleviates daily tension, delivering the luxury of sharing this unique tranquility with your beloved dog.

■ Equipment and items: private garden, cage, 2 food bowls, dog treats, toilet sheets, walking etiquette bags, wet wipes, deodorizing and disinfecting insect spray, odor-proof trash can, adhesive roller.

*Items to bring by the customer: dog food, leash, walking bag
If you can bring the toys, cushions, or blankets that your dog usually uses, it is recommended as it will help your dog relax.

■Conditions for staying with your dog
・Only the NAIKI building allows dogs. Please note that other rooms are not available for use.
・The first dog is free, and the second dog is 5,500 yen (per dog, tax included).
・A maximum of 2 dogs, with a total weight of less than 25kg (excluding large dogs), can be accommodated.
・Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Please ensure they stay in the cage in the guest room during meals.
・Please submit the Dog Accommodation Consent Form in advance. On the day of your stay, please bring a copy of the vaccination certificate and rabies vaccination certificate.
