We are pleased to announce that the historical asset group "Asuka and Fujiwara Capital and its Related Assets" remaining in Nara has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The history and culture of this land, which laid the foundation of ancient Japan, being recognized as a global value is a very significant event for us who have established our inn in Nara.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all those involved who have protected this historical landscape and culture up to today and have passed it on to the next generation.

"Asuka and Fujiwara" that holds ancient memories
The newly designated World Heritage site "Asuka-Fujiwara" is the region where the first full-fledged centralized Ritsuryō state was established in Japan from the late 7th century to the early 8th century.
Even in modern times, this area, which still retains the strong traces of that era, continues to attract many people as the origin of Japanese culture and aesthetic consciousness.
A journey through the ages of eternal time.
The foundations and culture nurtured during the Asuka and Fujiwara periods were eventually passed on to the newly established capital of Heijō-kyō in the north.
The area where our facility is located, Naramachi, corresponds to the outer city of Heijokyo, and it is a townscape where the lives and activities of people have continued uninterrupted from the medieval period to the present.
Even after the relocation of the capital, this land, located at the eastern edge of Heijō-kyō, has continued to gather people, adapting its form through the ages while maintaining the activities of the town without interruption.
From Asuka and Fujiwara to Heijō-kyō, and up to today.
