Kurume Kasuri Private Craft Experience

[For Guests Only] A factory tour to understand the essence of traditional crafts registered as Important Intangible Cultural Property, and a craft experience where you can breathe life into your creations with your own hands.

The "Azuma bag" is a simple bag that is said to have been created by common people during the Edo period after seeing Westerners' bags, made from leftover tenugui and fabric. The Azuma bag made from 100% cotton Kurume kasuri can be folded into a small size, is easy to wash at home, and allows you to casually incorporate Kurume kasuri into your life as an eco-bag.

By learning the manufacturing method of Kurume kasuri and creating an original Azuma bag finished with three hand stitches, you can experience the traditional beauty of Japan.
