Rooms

Wrapped in the memories and history of the commercial city,
a tranquil 7 rooms

"Kitaya," with its elegant design that seems to stop time, and "Otsubo Chaho," which has faithfully preserved the culture of tea, are two establishments that have quietly woven the history of Yame Fukushima. What has been created at these two locations is a private space with only seven rooms, designed to deeply immerse oneself in the local context.

Gazing at the transom marked by the hands of artisans, I simply surrender to the wind passing through the window. The 'luxury of doing nothing,' enveloped by the richness of a once-thriving commercial city, quietly conveys the profound aesthetic sensibility that this land has nurtured.

Originally a timber merchant, the "Old Otsubo Tea Shop" flourished as a tea shop from the early Showa period to the Heisei era.
