体験内容
農薬無使用の八女茶を使用し、久留米絣を茶染めしたオリジナルサコッシュを制作できる茶染め体験です。味わうだけではない八女茶の魅力をぜひ体感してください。

＜体験の流れ＞
①久留米絣のサコッシュを輪ゴムで縛り、付けたい模様を決めます。
②森音氏が自家農園で栽培している無農薬のお茶を使い染料をつくり、
そこにサコッシュをつけ込みます。
③過酸化水素水液でお茶の成分と化学反応を起こし、色が出ます。
④最後に、よく絞って天日干しすると完成です。
制作された作品はお持ち帰りいただけます。
染めている間・天日干ししている間でOptionのお茶のみ比べ付の体験を頼まれた方は、農薬不使用のお茶をお楽しみいただきます。
注意事項
染物を行うため、汚れても問題のない服装でお越しください。

A new way to appreciate Yame tea. The gentle craft of dyeing with naturally grown tea leaves.

What to Bring You are welcome to bring your own items to dye (cotton or silk is recommended). Please inform us when making your reservation.

About the Workshop Using naturally grown Yame tea leaves, this workshop invites you to dye your own original Kurume Kasuri sacoche. Discover the depth of Yame tea, appreciated not only in the cup but through its rich, natural colors.
＜Highlights＞ ・An encounter between Yame tea and Kurume Kasuri, a nationally designated Important Intangible Cultural Property. ・The refined skills of a multi-talented artisan. ・A quiet conversation with artisan Hiromu Morine.
＜Flow of the Afternoon＞ ① Designing the Pattern: Tie the Kurume Kasuri sacoche with rubber bands to create your desired pattern. ② Preparing the Dye: Mr. Morine prepares a natural dye using tea leaves grown on his own farm without the use of pesticides. The fabric is then carefully steeped. ③ Drawing out the Color: A gentle reaction with hydrogen peroxide brings the tea's hidden colors to life. ④ Sun Drying: The piece is wrung out and left to dry in the sun. The finished sacoche is yours to take home.
*Guests who select the tea tasting option are invited to enjoy a selection of naturally grown teas while the fabric rests and dries.
Notes ・As this involves natural dyes, please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting slightly stained.
